A year of growth, fun and adventures

Wow. What a year it has been for the Reconnect Outdoors crew!

The past 12 months have seen us step-up our adventures to new locations, new schools and to meet loads of new kids.

Last year we shifted our main focus from individual adventures to reaching more Victorian primary school kids through our variety of school incursion programs. These incursions have allowed us to bring our naturific activities into schools, and have a wider impact with our messaging.

Last year alone we were able to work with hundreds of primary kids throughout Victoria both in schools as well as in some of Victoria’s most stunning parklands including Werribee Gorge, Mount Franklin and Phillip Island.

We partnered with a fantastic new school holiday program School’s Out, took kids surfing, trekking and cycling and our directors embarked on several overseas adventures to gather new skills and ideas.

As a relatively new business, we’re still finding out own feet in the world, but if 2018 is anything to prove, we’re on the right track. The work we have been able to do, especially in schools, has been rewarding for both our participants and staff and we’re constantly workshopping new activities and adventures to challenge our adventurers throughout the year.

The feedback we’ve had from teachers, parents and students alike has been encouraging and overwhelmingly positive – making us even more enthusiastic to grow our business and reach more kids.

If we can keep creating positive experiences between children and nature, we’re establishing healthy patterns to not only impact a child’s physical health, but emotional wellbeing for future years.

There are so many adventures planned for 2019, and we can’t wait to embark on them together with you!

Yours in adventure,
Sam & Eamon
